Match Report

Another Toss lost, the track not quite the road we have been used to at home.

Macca and Tooley opened up and both openers looked to expand early, the ball in the air but constantly safe, mind you after they both had lids rattled which did slow them a touch. 65-1 off 20 overs with Dulux getting the leftie for 45. Ags and Dan really clawed us into the game with very discplined bowling combining figures 20overs 3-75, maybe not what you would call hugely notable but I can assure it was. Wellow No. 3 was a good bat and was 80*, pretty chanceless though we did well to restrict him. With 10 overs to go they still had 7wkts in hand 220-240 was possible, however intelligent bowling by the seamers again at end restricted them to 204-7. A notable flying full length catch by Steve "John" being a major highlight.

PJ and Os opened on a pitch that we thought would deteriate. PJ harshly ct behind early doors, Sammy strode in....Was today the day? Against the best attack and pace we have faced this season Sammy began bright with tm cover drives all the while supported by Os, 91-1 after 20 and in the box seat. Os went for a corageous 45 quickly followed by Reevsy and Macca, 110-4 (squeak!!!). Steve joined Sammy and with another superbly timed shot Sammy went to 50. Runs were again starting to flow against a decent attack. Then 1st ball after drinks 30th Sammy tiring in the sun had an almighty swish and missed, bowled for a fantastic 75 (absolute class knock...apart from the end ). Butterfingers promoted to 7 joined Steve as he started to play shot after shot hitting to all parts again great support from BF, before we knew it we crossed the line 5 wickets and 5 overs to spare....fantastic. Steve finishing on 52* and BFDan 20*.

Everyone has contributed this season really has been a real joint effort. We know our weakness and we will work to resolve it, but so many team positives!!! Wellow are the best we have played so far so a fine result.

Jas
