Match Report
With everything to play for we arrived early at the Green full of hope with lowly Hamble standing between us and glory. Sadly once again this season we came unstuck against lesser opposition.
Hamble batted and were 64 for 0 at drinks, good bowling by the guys especially the Doctor. From then on it went pear shaped. Once again opposition batsmen used the short boundaries to their advantage. Hamble ended on 245 for 4.
After another Horton tea, that made a second appearance at Mo's later in the the evening, we started our reply. Couple of early boundaries by Farls gave us hope but sadly it wasn't to be. Ossie finished his season with a good fifty but we were all out for 170 odd.
Not good enough on the day but over the season an excellent effort by everyone who played. Us old guys showed we can still do it and the few youngsters who joined us give plenty of hope for next season.
