Match Report

Our first evening league game under new captain Colin Day was at the Hollow. For what ever reason we had alot of bowlers in the side and few top order league batsman. This meant the batsman we had had to perform and one man did in a big way. Sam Freemantle hit 103 of 55 balls making very good use of the short boundary by the net. Despite being dropped twice Colin chipped in with 33 and we finished on a very good 151-3.

As I said earlier we had alot of bowlers. Colin used 6 in all with most taking wickets. New player Mark Callow took 2 in one over and Les and Jake [with slower balls] also took 2 and Martin Lander 1. The fielding was good and Sam completed a great game with a 1 stump direct hit run out [unfortunatly he can't play next week.]
