Match Report
After once again winning the toss and batting, the 'B' team began briskly, Colin and Matt starting to provide a good opening for the match. when Colin was out, Sam Floyd came in and after looking a little shaky produced a fine knock of 34, holding the innings together and seeing us to a total of 122, a few short and we committed the cardinal sin of not batting the overs out. would this come back to haunt us?
Our bowling was much better this week, with Keith, Les and Colin sharing wickets and only going for less than 8 an over each. we did bowl a lot straighter than last time but still bowled 28 wides, and with skandia winning with 2 ball to go, this and the lack of a few more runs from the overs we didn't bat cost us dear.
We are steadily getting better but need to learn quickly and mature as a unit, (4 of the squad are over 46). We need to be a bit more selfish, and selfless to get the really big scores.
