Match Report

None of us can explain it - one week we throw a game away having done the hard work and this week we bowled a team out for under 50 for the second time this season.

Waterlooville really didn't look up for much when batting - their body language was poor and we were sharp and bubbly in the field. Joe started of bowling his usual of four good balls and two bad, but their batsman were kind enough to play all around the good ones and even managed to chip the leg stump full tosses to fielders!!

Neil bowled as tightly as ever getting two wickets and the sloppiest bit of batting I have ever seen saw us get their number 6 run out first ball.

At one point they were 18-7 but the last two stuck around for about 15 overs to grind the score upto 48 until Keith finally got the last man out in his first over.

Lester and Pete opened against their overseas player, who was quite quick but also erratic giving us extras they couldn't afford. The opener from the other end really struggled going for 13 in over 2 and giving us extra byes as well.

Pete fell to a good caught and bowled from the South African but to no avail as Andy Evans and Lester saw us home inside the 10th over.

Not one player on either side scored over 10 runs. Our total of 49 included 25 extras in 10 overs!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Roll on next week.
