Match Report
Make no mistake, this Trojans team are a quality outfit. 4 of them are Premier League regulars and if you have ever faced Mr Felstead you will know what quick bowling is about.
Sam won the toss and Sharks batted. Both our openers grafted against good stuff and saw off the opening 4 overs, eventually Sam was caught off Lovett just short of retirement. Ossy struggled to get the ball away but still smashed a couple of good sixes in his 21. The other batsmen tried to keep things ticking over but when Felstead returned his final over got 2 wickets including the reliable Colin, very disappointed to mistime a drive and 126 all out didn't look enough to me.
However, Sharks started really well as Les and Keith got one each straight away and Trojans had to consolidate. Oakden was going well but Ossy's quick throw to Colin saw Khan run out. 14 for 3 off 3 and Sharks were on top. Trojans re-built however and Felstead and Oakden put on over 50 together. Then, Felstead tried to hit Fraser for a straight six. The ball came off the ceiling machinery, c&b for 20! Fraser also got the 5th batsman caught by Ossy (his 2nd Catch!) and the score was 117 for 5 off 11 overs. 10 to win off one over and the batsman on 53 not out. Where's your money? Wrong, Keith clean bowled Oakden first ball and sharks won by 9 runs! Very exciting game, well played Sam and the boys!
